is a testimony to the African lives caught between authority and accountability. Across Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa and Uganda, the work brings together recurring histories of police brutality, excessive force, extrajudicial killing and the struggle for justice. It asks what happens to a society when violence becomes familiar and accountability becomes exceptional.
Through fragmented bodies, watching eyes, handcuffs, weapons, protest signs and the colours of blood and resistance, the work transforms the canvas into a site of memory. It is not only about those who were killed; it is about those who survived, those who protested, those who demanded justice, and those who continue to live with the fear of becoming the next name.
The work ultimately asks a simple but uncomfortable question: how many generations must inherit the same wound before justice becomes more powerful than impunity?
This is not a celebration of violence. It is a refusal to normalize it.
