Using the African mask as a symbolic face of expression, this piece explores the quiet antagonists within the home those who mock, doubt, and sneer when an African child chooses a path less travelled. It reflects the ridicule that often comes from within, from those closest to us, when we dare to dream differently. A mirror to untold stories.
